Born from food chemist and innovator Maria Orosa, it has become the quintessential Filipino condiment.

Popularly eaten with dishes like tortang talong aubergine omelette and fried chicken, or as a dip for lumpia.

Sweet, sour and spiced… Works equally well as a marinade or folded through sauces for a sweet savoury kick.

INGREDIENTS

bananas, green chilli, garlic, shallot, miso paste (contains soy,) ginger, ground annatto, bay, tomato paste, soy sauce (contains soy,) sugar, distilled vinegar (contains sulphites,) water, coffee, star anise, black pepper, ground ginger, clove, ground nutmeg.

Consume by the use by date on the jar and store in a cool place out of direct sunlight. Once opened keep refrigerated and consume within 1 week. Produced in an environment that handles: Milk, Eggs, Soya, Gluten, Sulphites, Tree Nuts, Sesame and Mustard.
